… on-line book launch redux
Follow up to Book Launch Here!
what a heady party! thank you one and all for turning up, and stragglers are still
welcome. For the interested, here's…
An incomplete list of writers and illustrators who turned up, with links:
They're pretty much in order of appearance.
j_cheney aka J Kathleen Cheney. A bibliography of her published writing is
available on her LJ profile page here
mhari I do know her real name, but she writes as mhari, so that's the name you get.
She keeps a journal of her fanfics at mharific, and she's got original fiction on her
website here
Janet McNaughton
Gill James
pixzzzart aka Sue Eves
tigertrapped aka Sarah Hilary. Links to her fanfics are here; a bibliography and
links to her original and/or published writing are here
Kathy Bieger Roche
Megan Whalen Turner
ellen_kushner who is of course Ellen Kushner
rainbowjehan. I don't know her real name. Links to her fanfic and original fic are
here
George Tzanis, his riddles. I think.
sbdurst_blog aka Sarah Beth Durst
jabberworks aka Sarah McIntyre
Nancy Werlin
Dianne Bates
rj_anderson is R.J. Anderson. She has fiction here, and a first novel coming out
next year.
Chris Eboch
Jane Kurtz (Jane didn't actually post here, but she was responsible for a lot of the
behind-the-scenes canvassing)
Apologies if I left anyone out. It's probably because you've been too modest to tell me
you're a writer/illustrator. Have computer, will edit!
Laura Bond, of Ethiopia Reads, expressed her gratitude for the donations to this
project in the comments.
If anyone is heading to the Nebula Awards Weekend, I'll be there too. There's a
signing in Austin on 25 April as part of the festivities, which will be open to the
public. The event will be held at the Omni Downtown Austin Hotel, 700 San Jacinto
at 8th Street, and the mass autographing will be in the Longhorn Room from 5:30 pm
to 8:00. There will be a shining company of other authors there, including a few who
turned up here!
And in case you missed it, the imaginary guests did put in an appearance near the end.
THANKS FOR COMING! hope you enjoyed the party. Normal programming will
now resume.

*meekly raises hand*
Except my debut novel doesn't come out until next year, so I don't really expect
anyone to have heard of me quite yet.

Thank you for the invite – and the time taken to promote the guests via the list and
links above. You're a star. I hope, when/if I ever get published as a novelist that I have
as much generosity and time to give to others as you've demonstrated here. Brava!

you are sweet. And wrong to compliment me on "making time" when in fact I'm just
procrastinating! I hope that when you're a published novelist you're too busy with the
BOOKS to mess about compulsively with lj links!

This would all be more faster – well, the lj compulsion, not the fish tank cleaning – if lj
or possibly google hadn't decided to stop supplying direct clickable links to the email
copies of comments coming into my in-box. Drat!

Procrastinators of the world, unite! … Eventually.

*facepalm* Oh my goodness…I was so busy with my final exams, I completely
missed the book launch date.
Belated congratulations to you on the launch of The Empty Kingdom!!!!
I feel very regretful that I missed such a fun party, especially since thesunbird and
princesstena were there…though the wonderful excerpt you tempted us with totally
made my day (I'm practically drooling right now) 😀 Thanks so much for sharing that
with us…in the meantime, I shall be eagerly awaiting to read the new book!
